Chen Wen Hsi is regarded as one of Singapore's pioneer batch of artists who was exposed to many cross-cultural currents in both China and Singapore. On the back of the current $50 notes, the gibbon paintings that you see is actually done by him.
check out more of his works through the exhibit at SAM from 1st Dec 06 - 8 April 07.
was at the science centre to attend a NHB sponsored event - INDIE GARDEN.
local indie bands like electrico, great spy experiment, astreal and others came down to perform as part of the month long Explore Singapore! closing event. crowd response was pretty gd and the music wasnt too bad.
not to forget that there was this moon phenomenon which cheryl's husband was telling us about. its this gigantic ring which was around the moon supposingly formed by the clouds. Im still not too sure what it was about though.
